On this page you can find more information about the tuition offered, which range from talks, discussions and demonstrations to hands on workshops, both in groups as well as in private.
If you are completely new to rope, and wish to explore the many facets, Rope Beyond Restriction would be a good place to start. If you have some more experience Rock Solid or Manipulation Station would be classes that could take your skills to a new level. You can also combine several different classes if you wish to create a full day of learning for you, a partner or a group. Please view the bottom of the page for testimonials.

Over the years I have had the pleasure of working with and learning from several of the very best instructors available, and I can say that it was an absolute privilege to have the opportunity to spend some time with Hedwig. I can be a very impatient student, learning rapidly and always wanting to learn more, faster. I approach my one-on-one time with almost militant fervor, and Hedwig did not disappoint. She flowed with my own fast-paced learning style, filling our time with pointers, suggestions, assistance, all the while answering every one of my questions with a depth of knowledge and experience that belies her relatively young age. There are very few teachers I can proudly say I look forward to learning from again, and Hedwig definitely sits prominently on that list.
Your workshop opened a door for me. My experience with rope has focused on technique, with less attention to the energetic flow between the partners. A demo without a knot--brilliant!
You have a fierce sensuality type play style that I love. So few play that way. This year, I never did get a chance to see you play, but I did get a chance to be in your head rope/headfuck class. What a gift you gave us all in that class. You opened my eyes to new possibilities in my own play. I hope you will be back!
I am a beginner at rope, meaning intimidation is a huge factor to going out and trying to learn where to start with rope. I contacted Hedwig to setup a time to meet and that conversation was incredibly professional and productive.
She provided not only a partner to work with and the rope itself to aid with learning but went out of her way to find a place where we could go to be able to work (She was visiting the US from Sweden). The work she did in the time we had was phenomenal. Her way of teaching very understandable and she doesn't criticize when mistakes are made. Rather she will stop and show you whats going on, and then boost confidence by letting you know when you are right. The speed at which I learned many of the basics and safety was paced just right, so that I felt that I wasn't overwhelmed nor bored.
She also gave a demonstration of using rope in a far more intimate manner, that to me was insightful and interesting. Whether or not I am a beginner at rope I think that the way she demonstrated will forever change the way I think rope should be. I cannot thank you enough Hedwig, you really set me on the path to something I enjoy and helped bolster confidence in something I had very little knowledge in
I just attended your lovely headspace headfuck class. I wanted to thank you for teaching, for demoing, and for having the class on video to show to my own personal dom when I get back to him. A beautiful act of intimacy with a glorious rush, even when shared with just a friend. Well done
I left the consent workshop inspired, enlightened, and unburdened because I felt like there was shared truth I had never heard in quite the same way, and in a kink environment.
Thank you for holding space for that conversation, and for being both challenging and nurturing as a facilitator!
Hedwig is among the best instructors I've had with rope, both in private lessons and in larger groups.
In classroom settings, Hedwig's boundless joy and enthusiasm are infectious, resulting in a positive learning space that makes a very broad, open creative space to connect and have fun with my partner. Communication is precisely enough to push the student into a safe exploration of rope without being forceful. Hedwig is very delicate to the needs of the class - is gender sensitive and is one of very few instructors who successfully avoids a gender bias.
In private lessons, Hedwig's instruction is remarkably specific - she can address the most common problems very quickly and bring you to a space where you can improve the spirit and mindset of your scene - as well as the technical issues that face riggers attempting to advance their work.
Just got home from your amazing workshop today. As a rope-bottom, I feel much more aware of my body and the way it moves and works – thank you for inspiring me.
Really enjoyed your class at Shibaricon, and personally it was my favourite. When your rope bottom is worlds and worlds better than your topping ability it had been difficult to get in to an appropriate headspace and we never really played much with rope. Getting to your class really helped me realise that the technique is only as important as you make it...
The only way to develop is to learn by those more experienced. You teach what you know in a compassionate and clear manner. It feels so good to finally understand the concept behind the Takate Kote, now the only thing I need to do is practice, practice, practice and to do more classes.
It's been an amazing weekend of rope, and I have to say, I was actually relieved that a large portion of your workshop was body movement, trust & connection exercises. Your workshop, being all about connection and intimacy, bonding physicality between bunny and rigger, gave me the fix I'd been craving. I came away a very happy switchy topping bunny!
Thanks again for the direct lift class - it'll be very helpful. I often tie people who are larger than I am, and it's always a challenge trying to get enough leverage to get them up in the air. This is a fantastic option to have in the toolbox, and I'll definitely be using it in lab mode at home and in play.
Hedwig passed on knowledge and taught with at least three dimensions in mind; theory, technical skills and an ability to improvise. One of my favorite Greeks would say; episteme, techne & phronesis. I'm thinking that all of those three dimensions require different modes of teaching, and that they all need to come together in order to improve a practice.
After experiencing a bit of the top's perspective, I have a new appreciation for my own role, in addition to the top's, in connection and body communication.
